Insurance Benefits LegionPlus TRICARE Standard Supplements Low-cost coverage for your entire family        Whether you're retired or active duty, The American Legion has the TRICARE supplement for you. If you're under age 65, LegionPlus picks up where TRICARE leaves off to help you pay your medical expenses. LegionPlus pays 100% of the TRICARE Standard copayments once you pay the TRICARE Standard and LegionPlus deductible (Retired LegionPlus Plans have a $100 deductible). Then, if your covered medical bills are more than what TRICARE allows, LegionPlus pays 80% of the difference. Doctors and medical providers are prohibited from charging more than 115% of the amount TRICARE allows, so LegionPlus pays up to this amount. Widows' and dependents' privileges when your spouse and children have been covered by LegionPlus for six months or longer, their protection will continue for five years at NO COST TO THEM following your death (as long as your spouse remains unmarried and becomes a member of The American Legion auxiliary)
